Festival of Stories
Sparks, Bristol
07/03/2026
Dive into storytelling magic at The Festival of Stories Bristol—live tales, fun vibes, and creative sparks!
The Festival of Stories is a free event dedicated to showcasing the storytelling that thrives within our local communities. We aim to bring together a mix of seasoned storytellers, emerging voices, and passionate listeners for a day filled with tales that span generations, cultures, and experiences.
Attendees will be treated to live storytelling sessions, which cater for a wide range of audiences. On the day you might explore poetry, folklore, Bristol voices, children's storytelling and queer stories. In addition to the storytelling sessions, the event will feature interactive workshops where participants can hone their writing skills, learn the art of zine making and take part in free craft activities. There will also be stalls filled with bookish crafts, local indie authors and local publishers in attendance.
Part of the fun is that we encourage all staff and attendees to dress as their favourite book character for the day! With our handcrafted props and décor, we aim to create the ultimate fairy-tale experience.
The Festival of Stories is more than just an event; it’s a celebration of like-minded bookishness and an exploration of local talent. Join us for an unforgettable day of shared experiences, creativity, and inspiration, as we honour the art of storytelling and the way it can bring a community together.
